F173 Large Highly Carved Figural Pedestal

If you enjoy collecting highly carved pieces or Mythological pieces of antique furniture then look no farther. This pedestal is built with very heavy construction and it would easily support a large Bronze or Statue. There is great turnings and carved figures of the Greek Mythological God 'Pan’ on this pedestal. This pedestal has a Black Lacquered Finish often referred to as a black ebonized finish. The pedestal is in very good condition with no flaws. The pedestal would date from the 1860’s – 1875 time period. This pedestal measures a massive 48" in Height, and has a 16 1/2" Diameter top. What an excellent highly carved pedestal this is, that would be a highlight of any fine antique collection. - SOLD
