In addition it had a sliding writing table which allowed the desk to be closed without disturbing work in progress. Moore considered this to be a definite advantage over Wooton's writing board which had to be cleared and folded before it could be closed. Patent #199,089 January 8, 1878. His production output was limited thus fewer desks are available today. The desk measures 63" high and is 41" wide, and is 27 1/2" deep. These measurements are when the desk is closed. The plaque on this desk reads; 'Moore's Cabinet Desk Indianapolis Ind. Patented Jan. 8 1878'. This desk is in outstanding original finish. What an excellent addition to any fine antique collection this desk would make. - Price $19,500. Click here to view other Desks
