G517  Limoges Portrait Charger  - Beauty & the Beast

This is a large 12 1/2" Limoges charger known as 'Beauty and the Beast' that is decorated with a beautiful lady which is standing on what appears to be a lion's head. This hand painted porcelain charger is artist signed, 'Dubois' ?? (I am not certain of the signature) I did take a close up photo of the signature and perhaps there is someone who can correct me with the right spelling of the artist if I am wrong. This piece is signed on the back, with 'Limoges - France - B&H' signature. The B&H stands for Blakemore - Henderson, and this piece would date to the early 1900's. This is a unique scene with the woman standing on the lion's head. The charger is in excellent original condition, no repairs, no cracks, and no chips. There is slight wear on the gold on the outer edges of the charger is all. The charger stands about two inches high. What a great and beautiful piece of Limoges this is, and what an excellent addition to any collection this signed piece would make. - $1250.
