(click on pictures to get better view then click on back button to return) G650 1898 3 Fingers Cheyenne Rookwood Vase - This is a beautiful artist signed Indian Portrait Rookwood vase that measures 7" high, and has a 2 1/4" diameter base, approximately 3 3/4" diameter at the widest point in the middle, and is 2 1/2" diameter at the top. The vase is marked on the bottom with the Rookwood 'flame' signature that dates this vase to 1898, the artist personal signature, and also is engraved with the following, 'THREE FINGERS CHEYENNES' and the number '80B'. The 80 is the shape size of this vase, and the 'B' denotes this shape is the second from the largest of this shape. The portrait is of 'Three Fingers Cheyenne'. The artist is Edward T. Hurley, and again his signature is on the bottom of the vase. Mr. Hurley was at Rookwood 1896 thru 1948. Mr. Hurley was a nationally known etcher who published many books of etching of Cincinnati and he taught at Xavier. The vase is in excellent original condition, no repairs, no cracks, and no chips. There is some crazing in the glaze. What an outstanding piece of artist signed Rookwood this would make at add to one's own personal collection. There is a glare from the flash in my photos the high glossy finish on this vase causes for a glare when I took the photos. This is a great piece that is getting harder and harder to find! - $14,500 Click here to view more Rookwood Pottery
