This cast iron bank is in working condition and the original paint. The patent date on the base is Apr. 27, 1897. This bank was made by the J. & E. Stevens Company of Cromwell, Conn. and was referred in there catalog as the Kicking Mule. this bank measures 10" x 3" and 6" height. This bank was purchased from John Hardenbrook of Araphoe, Nebraska and this bank was passed down in the estate of  the William Harris family of Gordon, Nebraska, who was John's grandfather. There originally was a whip in the hand made of heavy gage wire we can have one made if you wish. - SOLD
