D003C  Mortimer Snerd Doll Edgar Bergen 

This doll is modeled after the comic character Mortimer Snerd who along with Charlie McCarthy became famous in the vintriliquist act performed by Edgar Bergen. This act was most popular in the 1940’s and 1950’s. The Mortimer Snerd doll measures 13” high. The doll is all original including the clothes and in good condition. The only damage is some crazying on the back of the head. As shown in the picture the head, hands, feet, and body are compositon while the arms and legs are a wire mesh that bend in any direction. On the back of Mortimer’s head is the impressed mark “Ideal Doll Made in USA”. Circa 1940. - $650.   Monthly Special $545.
