F217A Oak Fireplace Mantel Horner 

-  This is a wonderfully carved oak mantel the carvings are obviously very massive and very well done. This mantel is flanked with a feminine carved lady supporting one side (measures 15" from her outside of her arms) and the masculine carved man supporting the other. Then between the two there is a caving that is applied of old man winter and some oak leaf carvings. The massive shelf is hinged so you can lift and have hidden storage. This mantel is solid quarter sawn oak in original finish. Measures 71" Width, 15" Depth, 57" Height. Fire box opening is 43" width 39" Height. Circa 1895-1910. - $22,500.
