(click on pictures to get better view then click on back button to return) F376B Victorian Walnut Davenport (Captain's) DeskExceptional all original condition on this early Victorian walnut captain's desk. This desk has wonderful cut out designs and notice the thickness of the cut outs on the lower portion and they measure 1 1/2" thickness. This desk has storage on the sides of the desk with four drawers that are 23" deep and the faces are 9 1/2" wide on each drawer. There is also a swing out drawer with ink well compartment. This drawers face is only 2 1/2" wide and approximate depth of drawer is 11" deep. Beautiful wood carved pulls have been attached to each drawer. The slanted felt covered writing surface lifts up to reveal storage on the interior of the desk. There is two small drawers on the inside of this portion as well. On the interior drawer on the backside of the drawer there has been applied a brass plaque over the years, and on this brass plaque it reads, 'This desk was given to Christine Jo McNaughton during the late 1980's by her father, Earl Ford McNaughton.' This desk measures 37" high to the top back piece and is 25" wide and 23" deep. - SOLD |
