F685B Fancy Victorian Walnut Sewing Table
This looks like a great Victorian Walnut table which it is but it has more to offer. The turtle shaped top pivots to the back exposing the hidden sewing compartments. The compartments are made of Rosewood and the white knobs are turned ivory. The middle front compartment is hinged and the underside of the lid is a pin cushion, which is revealed when the lid is flipped open. Circa 1860. Notice the intricate details in the base of this table as well. We have never seen a sewing table designed with this swinging mechanism before. This Victorian sewing table is guaranteed to be a highlight in any fine Victorian sewing collection. This table measures 25 1/2" x 20 1/2" across the table's top, and the table stands 29 1/2" high. - SOLD
