F687B Library Table Mahogany Spiral turned legs - Merklen
This is a great table with wonderful craftsmanship. The dovetailed drawer is on the end or short side of the table. This table has great turned twisted spindles supporting griffins with wings that hold up a shelf. The rope twist in the center has most unusual open strands and the base has wooden balls in brass claw shaped feet with a face designed in them. Attributed to Merklen Company, NYC. These features are the unique trademark of the Merklen Company. Measures 40" Wide, 27" Depth and 29" Height. Circa 1890.
