F870B Fancy Oak Fretwork Architectural
This is an exceptional piece of quality architectural woodwork. Delicate and all complete this is a fine piece of stick and ball craftsmanship and notice the twisted rope designs throughout this piece, even along the entire bottom outer edge of this piece of fretwork there is a twisted rope design. This is a larger piece that measures 88 1/2" wide and is 18" high. The finish is all original with some crazing to the finish. This piece was made by the C.S. Ransom & Company in Cleveland Ohio around 1890. This work is called Moorish Fretwork and was patented in 1885 by Moses Ransom. We thank Paul Tucker for bringing this to our attention. - $2,250. SOLD
