F989B Oak Office Chair Carved Indian claw feet
The best of the best! Heavy built oak office chair with carved Indians and claw feet. Black Leather Upholstery and brass tacks decorate this executive swivel office chair but the most appealing is the carved Indians on the top corners of the office chair with four
large carved claw feet. This is adjustable in height and can tilt back for a comfortable sit. The
measurements are, 49" High, across the arms 28" wide, and the interior dimensions of the seat is 19" deep and 22" wide. Circa 1900's.
This chair had been in the same family since 1972. They purchased from an attorney John Mills who told them that the chair came from the office of Drake Watson. Drake Watson was a state
representative during the time of 1911 when the state capital was struck by lightning
and burned. Mr. Mills said the carried furniture out to the lawn and was dispersed.
Mr. Watson brought the chair with him to New London, Missouri…. Makes for a good story but I do not have any proof.
