G048B Stoneware Crock with Chicken Emblem Advertising
This crock has a great advertising emblem with the figure of a chicken and then it reads, 'Overall The Par? & Pollard Co. - Boston - Trademark - Patented November 18, 1918'. The year could also be 1913 as the stamped signature has blurred and it is difficult to read clearly. There is a wire bailed handle with this stoneware crock. The crock measures 6" high and has a diameter of 10 1/2". The condition of this crock is very good all original condition. This is a unique piece of stoneware. I could not find out much information on this company from Boston on line or in my reference books. If anyone can tell me more about the original purpose of this crock and or the company that made it please drop me a note. - SOLD
