G110C Salt Glaze 5 Gallon Red Wing Butter Churn
onderful original hand drawn cobalt blue decoration decorates this early salt glaze 5 Gallon stoneware Red Wing butter churn. The churn is all complete with brown crock lid and wooden dasher. Notice the texturized exterior and the molded handles on this old salt glaze churn and the dark brown albany slip interior. Excellent all original condition with no crack, chips etc. Someone has added small pads that could easily be removed on the base is the only altercation on this piece. This churn came from out of a home in the Sioux City, Iowa area. Just the churn portion measures 17" high and the base's diameter is 10" which is the largest part. When the dasher is in the churn the wooden handle measures 32 1/2" high. This is an exceptional early old salt glaze churn, one that you will be thrilled to be able to add to your own personal collections.
