G192B Blue Satin Glass Enameled Brides Basket
This is an exceptional and well done floral enameled bride's basket. Notice the detailed floral enameling that has several gold, white and burgundy colors that make a wonderful contrast against the soft baby blue to a darker blue on the outer ends of the crimped and ruffled edges of the bowl. On the very bottom of the bowl there is a number and or letters that has been written on this basket. It reads, '2 610' or could be 'R GIO' it is somewhat difficult to be able to read the writing to know for certain if it is letters or numbers or if it was to be a combination of both. The quadruple silver plated holder is of equal quality as the art glass brides basket. The holder is signed on the underneath with the following information, 'Monarch Silver Co.' 'Quadruple - 371'. There is information on the very bottom that I can not read well enough to inform you as to the original signature marking. This holder stands an impressive 13 3/4" high and at the widest is 11 1/2" wide. The footed base is 5 1/2" x 5 1/2" at the widest point around the feet. The basket it's self is 5" high at the highest and at the widest is 11 1/2". The basket has been highlighted with gold around the very edge this gold has worn some. This is a beautiful art glass bride's basket that would be certain to be a highlight in any fine collection! - $875.
