G195B Reverse Painted Shade Desk Lamp

This is a beautiful signed reverse painted desk lamp that is signed by it's maker, 'Verdelite - Pat'd 1917 Made in U.S.A.' Notice that this lamp is signed both on the back plate portion on the shade and again on the base of the lamp on the goose neck portion and it reads the same, only there is a complete date given of, 'Pat'd May 8, 1917'. The desk lamp has a weighted base for a solid support and notice with the wing bolts on the side of the lamp one can adjust the height and angle of the lamp both on the bottom portion and the top portion of the lamp. The base of this lamp has a diameter of 7 1/2". The height is adjustable as stated, however in the scenes taken for photos it is approximately 13" high. The reverse painted scene is that of a rural or country scene and a home in the distance with fall colors of brown, yellow, reds, and orange. The shade is approximately 9 3/4" wide and 4 3/4" deep. The desk lamp is in working order. Also, notice on the shade of the lamp the texturized petal type pattern in the glass, this casts a satin type look to the glass when the lamp is lit. This is a beautiful signed reverse painted desk lamp that would be an excellent addition to one's office or home. - SOLD
