G237B  Rare Yellow Satin Art Glass Pickle Castor

Rare and unique Victorian Yellow Satin art glass pickle castor, with an enameled floral design. The background color on this insert starts as a bolder and brighter yellow at the very top rim and then as the insert descends downward the color becomes a cream almost opalescent color. White satin cased interior on this insert that stands 4 3/4" high, and has a diameter of 3 1/4". The simple yet very attractive enameled design of a branch with a few leaves and flowers makes a bold statement on this yellow toned background. This insert comes complete with the holder, silverplated lid, and pickle tongs. The holder is marked, 'Aurora - Warranted' - 347'. The holder stands 10" high and the base has a diameter of 4 1/4". This holder has a beautiful and very detailed impressed design around it's base approximately one inch up from the bottom. This is an exceptional all original satin glass insert Victorian pickle castor that is a very rare find, one that you will not want to miss adding to your own personal art glass collections. This particular satin glass pickle castor came from out of the Phyllis Hunt estate of Moberly, Missouri. The Hunt's owned the Budweiser Distributorship and Moberly Plating Co.  -  SOLD
