G249A Nippon Moriage Quail Bird Teapot
- This is a beautiful example of Moriage decorated Nippon. The teapot depicts a quail like hen bird resting next to brown and tan colored thistle or wheat plants. The contrast of brown and tan next to the light blue green background colors of the teapot make for a wonderful eye catching combination. Also, notice the fine white beaded work around the spout, lid, and both top and bottom edges of this teapot. The bottom is signed, 'Hand Painted Nippon'. The teapot measures 6 1/2" high and at the widest measures 7 1/2" wide from spout to the handle's edge. What a great addition to any fine Nippon or antique teapot collection this Moriage piece would make. - SOLD
