G301B  Amphora Ewer Lizard Handle Larger Size

This is a beautiful signed piece of Amphora. Notice the exceptional details on this piece. The full figured lizard that forms the handle for pouring. The subdued finish for a natural non-glare tone. The purple grapes hanging from a vine with large leaves that decorate the ewer. This ewer is finished with accents of gold around both the top and bottom, and the entire lizard handle is featured in a gold color. Notice again the Amphora signature on the bottom that reads, 'Turn Teplitz - Bohemia R. St. K. Made in Austria'. This signature is the early Amphora mark and would date this piece to 1891 to 1908 time period. Also impressed into the vase there are numbers and some of them are, '02070', '58'. This ewer measures 10" high and at the widest has a diameter of 5". The bottom base is 3 1/2" diameter, and at the widest point this ewer is 6 1/2" wide. Excellent all original condition. We also have available for sale a smaller size of an Amphora ewer that has been done in this very same design and mold. The two pieces would complement each other nicely. - SOLD
