G303B Cranberry Barrel Shaped Pickle Castor
This is a beautiful cranberry pickle castor insert that has been done in a barrel shape. Notice the evenly spaced ribbed design that encircles the entire body of this pickle castor insert. The holder is marked and signed on the bottom, 'Warranted Triple Plate Aurora S.P. MFG. Co. #625'. The holder is raised on four decorative feet that secure the cranberry insert, and note the silver plated lid for this cranberry insert along with a pickle fork. Circa 1895 - 1905. Excellent all original condition. The insert measures 4 1/4" high, with a diameter of 3 1/4" at the widest. The holder stands 9 3/4" high and has a diameter of approximately 5" wide at the widest point. The fork has engraved on the underneath side, '1865 H. Sears & Sons'. This Victorian pickle castor has straight lines and is a very simple yet elegant style. Don't miss adding this pickle castor to your own personal collection. - SOLD
