G308B Wedgwood Jasperware Milk Pitcher
This is a beautiful signed piece of Wedgwood that has been done in a pitcher. This same style of pitcher is photographed in the book, 'Wedgwood Jasper Ware - A Shape Book and Collectors Guide', by Michael Herman on page 94 and they refer to this pitcher as being called, 'Orange - Jug' - Euterpe - mark Wedgwood, Circa 1890'. One can quickly see the Muse, 'Euterpe - the Muse of Lyric Poetry' is depicted on this jug, as well as on the opposite side there is 'Apollo Musagetes'. This pitcher measures 5 1/2" high, and at the base is 3 1/4" diameter and the top from the spout to the end of the handle is 6 1/4" wide. Excellent all original condition on this fine piece of signed, 'Wedgwood'. Circa 1890. - $395.
