G363A Majolica Garden Seat
- This is a great majolica garden seat. The color is beautiful with the cobalt blue trim with green claw foot on each corner seperated with sea shell. The seat appears to have a caned seat. The info is from the book, EUROPEAN MAJOLICA, by D. Michael Murray (Schiffer Books, 1997). The picture shows an example of Bruder Willner's work (pl. 321, p.142) and the other photo is of the brief script about the Willner Bros. found on page112. Just in case you cannot read the pic, it is as follows:"The vase shown in plate 321 is attributed to Bruder Willner (Willner Brothers) who operated a pottery at Teplitz from 1882 to circa 1916. Their mark consisted of the letters BW impressed on the base of pieces they produced." Measures 20 1/2" Height, seat 14" Diameter.- $3250.Click here to view more Majolica
