G373 Walter Moorcroft 'Hibiscus' Covered Jar 

- Bold and Beautiful! This fine piece of Walter Moorcroft 'Hibiscus' pattern pottery dates to a circa of 1949. This piece even has the original paper label. The colors in this piece are very eye catching. The covered bowl measures 3 1/2" high to the top of the lid and the diameter is 5 1/2" at the widest. On the underneath side of the lid, it is impressed with the 'MOORCROFT' signature as well as have the original paper label that reads; 'By appointment - W. Moorcroft - Potters to the Late Queen Mary'. Also on the very bottom of the bowl portion it is nicely marked with the impressed 'MOORCROFT' and 'MADE IN ENGLAND' signatures as well as the paper label again. There is a very slight amount of crazing in the glaze. This is a beautiful piece that is all original, no repairs, no cracks, and no chips. A nice piece that would make an excellent addition to any fine collection..- $395.
