G409A Silvertone Weller Console Bowl & Candlesticks
Beautiful Weller Silvertone Console Set -
The Weller Pottery Company made this Console Bowl with Frog and matching candlesticks in the 1920’s. It is in their lovely floral pattern called SILVERTONE. It is stamped on all of the pieces with their Full Kiln Ink Stamp Mark that reads WELLER WARE. The bowl is 12 inches in diameter and 3 ½ inches tall. The condition of the bowl is very good there is some minor rust spots where frog covers in bottom of bowl. Frog has minor chip. The Pair of Silvertone candlesticks are in very good condition and colorful. Measure 5.5" Dia. x 2" height. Condition is very good with no chips, cracks or repairs.
This Weller Silvertone console with candleholders is featured in 'The Collectors Encyclopedia of Weller Pottery' by Sharon & Bob Huxford, on page 255. There is a note in this book that shares the following information concerning the Silvertone pattern. 'Silvertone's delicate shadings and exquisite floral modeling make this line a favorite of Weller collectors. Middle to late 20's would be its place in time, and we found no mention of it in the 1930's.'
