G419B  RS Prussia Portrait Celery

This is a beautiful piece of red mark signed RS Prussia done in a celery dish. The mold is commonly referred to as the 'Medallion' Mold, mold 14. This mold is featured in the reference book, 'The Collectors Encyclopedia of R.S. Prussia - Book 1', by Mary Frank Gaston, on page 44, Plate 57. In the medallions there is two women featured, one being 'Diane the Huntress' in two of the medallions and in the other two the portrait, 'Flora'. This celery is larger in size measuring 14" long and is 7" wide in the middle and comes in on the ends to approximately 5 1/2" wide across the medallions. Excellent all original condition on this celery which is decorated in the center with Reflecting poppies and daisies. You will not want to miss adding this exceptional piece of signed RS Prussia to your own personal collections.
