G419 Chinese Cobalt Blue and White Plate - This is a beautiful cobalt blue plate with two dragons intertwine among foliage and flowers around the edge of the plate. There is three different oriental flowers that are used in the center of the plate along with a white background. The edge of the Plates' backside has a scrolling design of cobalt on white. There is five marks on the bottom that I presume is kiln marks. There is minuet scratches from normal ware are on the center of the plate. I'm surprised this plate is in this outstanding condition for as old as it is. No characters are on the back to designate the time period. One must note the texture and art work to date this item. I have been told that this 11" diameter plate is an early piece of Chinese Cobalt blue. This is a great piece that would make an excellent addition to any fine collection..- $225
