G422B  Pairpoint Indian Portrait Jewel Box

This all original signed 'Pairpoint' jewel box is highlighted on the top with the portrait of an Indian type figure. This box is decorated with the main background colors of varying shades of green. The box measures 6 1/4" diameter at the widest point. Notice the detailed brass ormolu rings that decorate this jewel box. Pairpoint made a strong and secure hinge on this jewel box that has lasted well and is still strong over all these years of use. The box stands 4 1/2" high on decorative brass feet. Excellent all original condition. There is a silk liner laying in the interior of this box, I can not verify that the liner is original to the box. This jewel box has a masculine appearance to it with the darker green colors used, and the masculine face on the Indian type figure. The bottom again is signed, with the Pairpoint, 'P' in the triangle, and the engraved '4657' in the brass band. On the very bottom of the jewel box there is the numbers, '4648' over '301'. Don't miss adding this fine piece of Pairpoint to your own personal collections, or if you collect Indian portraits you will want to strongly considered this piece for your collection.
