G438B Crown Milano Cracker Biscuit Jar
Highly hand decorated signed piece of Crown Milano. This biscuit or cracker jar is signed and numbered on the bottom. The bottom has the crown emblem and the letters 'CM', along with the number 520'. The gold enameling on this piece is very quick to catch one's eyes along with the brightly hand painted floral design. The biscuit jar measures 6 1/2" diameter and stands 6" high to the top of the finial on the lid. Another attractive feature on this biscuit jar is the ruffled edge around the top of the quadruple rim and note the same ruffle on the removable lid. The quadruple plate lid is also signed 'M.W.' and the number '4419/c'. Excellent all original condition on this fine piece of American art glass. This is a beautiful multi-hued floral vase that would make an excellent addition to any fine Crown Milano cracker jar collection. A biscuit jar very similar to this same cracker jar is featured in the reference book, 'the Collector's Encyclopedia of American Art Glass', by John A. Shuman III on page 106. - $1675.
