G557B   Handel Ware Humidor with Owl Tobacco Jar

The Handel Company makes this humidor. This is the same company that is known for making high-end lamps during the same period. The piece shows a hand painted owl sitting on a branch. The box is in good condition however there is a little wear to the paint that is visible the biggest spot which you can see in the photo measures approximately 1/8” sq. However there are no chips, cracks, or repairs to the jar itself. The pewter lid on the jar is decorated with beaded work and the floral scowls. This Handel humidor would be a great addition to anyone’s collection. Circa 1900. - SOLD
