M105B  Quick Meal Salesman Sample Cookstove

What a cute example of the Quick Meal cook stove this salesman sample is. With all the features of the large stoves, this little stove has all the same workable features. Notice the six burners with their covers, the grades that will rotate to dump ashes into the tin lined pan below, the drop down oven door, the open and shut vents and damper for ventilation on the stove. This is an actual workable stove that could have been used for a salesman sample and many times these were used by little girls to be used to learn and enjoy cooking just like their mother. This stove has had the nickel polished, and it has been cleaned several years ago. Circa early 1900's. What a cute and heart warming piece this little stove is. You can enjoy all the feel of owning a stove like great grandma had, yet the size is much more manageable. What a great addition to your antique collection this stove would make. These little cook stoves are becoming harder and harder to find.
This stove measures 17"wide, and is 16" deep. The base portion of the stove measures 25 1/2" high, 26 1/2" high to the top of the stove pipe. This particular stove was acquired when it became available at public auction in Chillicothe, Missouri for the sale of James & Martha Eden. We visited with Mr. Eden and he said that he had acquired this stove back in the 1980's and they had purchased this stove from a family in Bosworth, Missouri. This family in Missouri had won the stove in a family estate drawing. Mr Eden had the stove cleaned and polished when he bought it back in the 1980's by a Bill Hublett of Hutchinson, Kansas. This stove is an exceptional piece and a great find!
We are also offering with this stove two small accessory items. One item is a cast iron tea kettle that measures 3 3/4" high to the top of the lid and the bottom has a diameter of 4 1/4" with the widest point being 6" long. The second item is a small tin coal bucket of appropriate size. The bottom of this bucket has a diameter of 5" and the widest measurements are 8" wide, with the height being 5 1/2" high. Both pieces do have handles that would make the items be taller than the measurement. - SOLD
