M157B Cast Iron Turtle Paperweight Hoosier Advertising
This is a unique little piece of old cast iron. This antique paperweight is cast in the full figure of a turtle. Notice the detailed feet and grooved turtle's shell, however the most unusual feature of this paperweight is that it advertises the name, 'Hoosier'. I am not certain if this advertising is for Hoosier the company that made kitchen cabinets, Hoosier a name that is on farm implement items, Hoosier a name of a city in the United States. I can not document or tell you with certainty the original purpose of why this turtle paperweight is advertising Hoosier. We do guarantee that this is an old and all original piece of cast iron. This little piece measures 3" long, is right at an inch high, and is only 2 1/2" wide. This paperweight would make an excellent addition to any paperweight, or cast iron, collection as well as any collection related to 'Hoosier'! - SOLD
