M164B Victorian Brass Bird Cage
This is an all original early brass bird cage that is all complete with the brass support stand and the bird cage which has all the extra's. Notice the two glass water feeders. The wooden bird rests and the wooden round ring for the bird to perch on. For ease in cleaning the bottom of this cage is removable. Notice the three brass hooks that catch into the sides of the wire portion of the cage to secure and release the cage. This bird cage house measures 18" high. The bottom diameter is 12 1/2" diameter. The pedestal stand stands an impressive 65" high to the top of the hook and the base gives a sturdy support with a base that measures 9 1/2" diameter. Notice the bottom and how the brass base is overlaid over a weighted cast iron base. The cast iron insert has a number on it of, '27', and I believe the second number is '3'. The mold number is a little worn on the '3'. This is an extra clean, all complete and original antique bird cage that all that's missing is the bird! I have seen this bird cages used as just room décor with plants and or greenery draped around them for added room decorations and atmosphere.
