M274B Cast Iron Horse Hitching Post
This is an exceptional Victorian cast iron hitching post with the top of the hitching post being done in the shape of a full figured cast iron horse head. Excellent original condition except for one small knick on the top of the left ear, the hitching post has been repainted over the years. This hitching post weighs 145 pounds Again guaranteed old and one can see several layers of old paint on this hitching post. The base measures 14" x 7 1/2", and it stands 65" high, at the widest diameter the post appears to be approximately 7" diameter. Circa 1890 - 1900. - Price $1,595.
