All original cast iron sad iron that was made by and is stamped by it's maker, 'Enterprise Mfg. Co. Philadelphia - Star Iron - Patent Ground - Pat. Oct. 1, 67 - Jan 16, 77. Size 1' This iron has a patent date of 1877, and is referred to as a size 1 iron. Note around the center of the top of this iron there is a star embossed in the iron and a nut or bolt head type design in the center. This iron measures 6 1/4" long is 3 1/4" wide at the widest point and with iron faced down is 4 1/2" high to the top of the handle. I have been told that this is a rarer and harder to find cast iron sad iron, don't miss being the one to add this iron to your own personal collections. - SOLD
