M432B Figural Napkin Ring Meriden Silver

Meriden Silver Plate Co. number 288 is the maker of this fine quadruple plate figural napkin ring. The napkin ring depicts a pair of swords in sheaths with hunting horns on either side of the 'ring'. Underneath the 'ring' holder and centered on the oval base is a riding cap. The raised border of the base is decorated with acanthus leaves and small flowers. The oval base measures 3 1/2" x 2 1/4". The holder stands 3 1/2" high. The napkin 'ring' measures 1 3/4" diameter. Excellent all original condition.
This napkin ring is featured in the reference book, 'Figural Napkin Rings' by Lillian Gottschalk & Sandra Whitson' on page 295 under the Sports section. - SOLD
