M455A Small Double Wheel Cast Iron Coffee Grinder
This is an outstanding all original smaller sized double wheel cast iron coffee grinder. The original paint and stenciling on this grinder is just perfect. This coffee grinder was originally used in the Wm. C. Klages Drug Store in Sioux City, Iowa. The wheels on this grinder measure 10 1/2" in diameter. On the wheels of this grinder signed in raised letters this grinder reads, 'Landers Frary & Clark - New Britain Conn. U.S.A.' as it's maker. Wonderful scrolling decals with a patriotic theme decorate this grinder and there is a reminder signed in raised letters to 'Oil the Balls' on the base of the grinder. The little wood drawer has a white porcelain knob and is stenciled with the 'No. 30'. This grinder stands 14 3/4" high, at the widest it is 11 1/2" wide from wheel to the wooden knob on the opposite wheel, and the base measures 8 1/2" x 8 1/2". Also, notice that there is a white porcelain top on the top swing out lid.
This is an excellent piece and you will have to look a long time to find one in better all original condition.
