M462B Old Country Store Spring Balance Scale

What a great old country store scale! This scale is signed and called, 'Chatillon's Improved Circular Spring Balance' scale. The scale will weigh up to 30 pounds by ounces. The scale is marked as being 'Warranted - New York'. This scale has a great old patina appearance to it. Notice that there has been three of the rivets that have been replaced over the years with the usage. The scale portion measures 15 1/2" long to the bottom of the iron hook, and the tray is approximately 12" x 10". When the tray is attached to the scale the entire unit measures about 34" long. This hanging scale would make an excellent way to display a plant or fern on the tray. What a fun nostalgic piece this would be. - SOLD
