M465B Porcelain MobilOil Gargoyle Lollipop Sign
Outstanding piece of Mobil Oil advertising. This is an all original Cast iron base lollipop advertising sign that has a great 'Gargoyle' emblem on this 24" diameter double sided porcelain insert that advertises; 'Ask Here For Gargoyle Mobiloil'. All the lettering on the porcelain insert is slightly embossed. Also on the 20" diameter cast iron base there is embossed in the iron the following information; 'Property of Vacuum Oil Company - Gargoyle - Mobiloil'. There is only one other place on this sign where there is some information and that is on the cast iron rim that encircles the double sided porcelain sign there is the embossed letters; 'N.P.P.' The cast iron pole has a diameter of approximately 2" in diameter. The lollipop sign stands a total of 62 1/2" high. This is a great all original old sign. What a great addition this old Gargoyle Mobil oil advertising piece would be to any fine gasoline or oil related collections. - SOLD
