This is a wonderfully done with excellent detail Native American Indian chief lithograph that is dated 1910. Notice also that this litho is signed in the lower right hand corner from the painting by Louis Dougherty, which would be this same paintings original artist. Also, around this artist signature signed twice, this litho reads, 'From painting Copyright 1910 - Wolf & Co. Philadelphia'. And 'Painting only copyrighted by Wolf & Co. Phil. 1909'. This lithograph measures 16" x 12", and it has been placed in this frame by a 'Lincoln Bookstore'. Notice the partial label for this book store on the backside of the litho. This frame has always been with this lithograph print there is still the original paper backing on this is how you can tell. This litho came from an estate right there still in Lincoln, Nebraska. The oak frame measures 18 1/2" x 14 1/2", and it is still in very good all original condition. The oak frame has been done with a darker color which was a common procedure that could be done to oak wood. The combination of winter and cold appeal in the litho carries over nicely with the darker colored frame. This is a nice all original lithograph that is dated and would be a wonderful addition and attraction in any home or office.
