(click on pictures to enlarge then click on back button to return) P031C Antique Horse Print Atrributed The StormThis round oak framed print depicts two horses one white and one black that are in a startled position with their eyes focused on something in the distance. In the lower portion of the print it is signed, 'Copyright 1912 - E. Meekson'. The artist signature is very difficult to read and the last name of Meekson I am guessing, I could be wrong. The white and black horse and the startled position would remind one of the well known 'The Storm' print, however I have the storm print and this print is not the same, the horses are facing the opposite direction, the black horse should be in the front, and of course there is no 'lightning' in the background' but there is definitely some of the same appearances as the Storm in this print and it would compliment any collection nicely if you enjoy collecting well known horse prints. This oak frame measures 14 1/2" in diameter and the opening where the print is shown is approximately 9 1/2" diameter. Good all original condition. - $295. This months special offer Celebrating 40 years of business - $250. |
