P034B  Elk Print Titled 'The Challenge' Landseer

This old print that is still in it's original frame is titled, 'The Challenge'. The print depicts an elk that is bugling across a snow covered landscape, and upon looking closely in the water you can see another bull elk is crossing the ice cold water to accept the 'Challenge' of this bull elk. What impressive racks both of the elks have mounted on their heads. Notice that in the lower left hand corner of this print it is signed, 'Painted by Landseer'. On the backside of this print stamped on the backing it reads, 'Gardner J. Duncan - Picture Framing - Middlebury, Vermont'. This is a nice wildlife print that would look nice and make an excellent conversation piece hanging in any home or office. Measures 21" x 12 1/2" - SOLD
