P139B  Charcoal Bull dog Drawing Artist Signed

This piece of artwork has a personal message written on it and it would appear that this charcoal drawing of a bulldog was done to be given as a gift. The drawing is signed by it's artist 'Guy Crosley' and is dated, '1933'. Also notice that in the lower left hand corner there is a personal note that reads, 'Best wishes to a stout fellow and a good dog' 'Tom'. The dog appears to have the name 'Muggins' as this name is in the upper right hand corner of the drawing. Excellent charcoal drawing with wonderful expression on the face of this bull dog. The frame measures 19 1/2 x 25 1/2". The actual size of the drawing would be closer to 15" x 12". This drawing was obviously made to be given as a gift and one can still feel the love and compassion for this particular dog today. The frame is in good original condition with some very minor wear.
