A general store display cabinet we have recently acquired and are pleased to offer for sale. This 1890 Diamond Dye cabinet was frequently offered as a premium to businesses ordering $20.00 or more of their products. The cabinet are in great demand today because of their attractiveness. This particular Diamond Dye cabinet is the “Evolution of Woman”. The wood is oak, with Eastlake style routering of the corners and edges. It is featured on page no. 67 of “Mom & Pop Stores” by Richard A. Penn. We classified this cabinet as being in “very good condition”. In the lower right corner is printed “Kellogg & Bulkiley Co.”. The oak cabinet has the original finish. The back has sliding doors. All of the pigeon holes are intact and several have the old color labels intact. The tins sign on the front door reads The Diamond Dyes – Fast Colors for Domestics & Fancy Dyeing. Dimensions of the cabinet are; 23″ wide, 9 3/4″ deep, and 30″ tall. This is an excellent general store display cabinet, and would make a spectacular addition to your collection! –
