Antique Blue & Red Nine Patch Pieced Quilt

Product #Q002C
Facebook

All original pieced quilt done in three colors. Solid colors of blue and white, and a red print fabric that stands out placed against the blue and white solid fabric strips. This quilt has been done in a nine patch variation design, with the quilting measuring approximately 10 stitches per inch quilting, which is exceptionally good. The quilt is in good all original condition, there is some light yellow places on this quilt, but most of these places are on the backside of the quilt. I do not know how this quilt might clean up if one was to wash the quilt. I do not wash antique quilts myself. We have tried to take close up photos of any yellow spots that we see. This quilt measures 64″ x 78″. Circa 1915 – 1920’s. We also acquired a copy of a newspaper article that features the woman who made this quilt. Her name was Mrs. Phoebe Kautz of Terre Haute, Indiana, who passed away 7/25/1946.
