What an exceptional example of a sales man sample cook stove this stove was made by the Buck’s Stove & Range Co. of St. Louis, Missouri. With all the features of the large stoves, this little stove has all the same workable features. Notice the six burners with their covers, the grates with a door to access them, the decorative operable oven door, the lever for opening the damper for ventilation on the stove, are just a few of the amazing features. Also complete with this all original stove are two accessory items of a cast iron skillet and cast iron cooking pan with wire bail handle, and notice that both of these cooking items have the same gold stenciling as what you will find on the metal cover that rests over the water reservoir. Note again that on this stove is raised lettering noting that is stove is a ‘Buck’s Junior – 2. Stove has the lifter which inserts through a storage slot for ease in storing when not in use. This is an actual workable stove that could have been used for a salesman sample and many times these were used by little girls to be used to learn and enjoy cooking just like their mother. This stove is still in exceptional original condition. Circa early 1900’s. What a cute and heart warming piece this little stove is. You can enjoy all the feel of owning a stove like great grandma had, yet the size is much more manageable. What a great addition to your antique collection this stove would make. These little cook stoves are becoming harder and harder to find.
This stove measures 22″ wide, 26 1/4″ high, and 12″ deep. –
