Antique Cast Iron Dog Nut Cracker with Squirrel Holding Nuts

This is a cast iron figural dog nut cracker which is also nickel plated. Notice what is very unique on this dog nut cracker is that there is a full figural squirrel also on the base of this nut cracker and there is foliage and nuts underneath the dog in the cast base of this piece. Also on the base plate there is the letter ‘B’ beneath the dog’s tail, and then on the front there is an emblem which appears to be that of a shield design with a cross in the center. Again, we have had several dog nut crackers over the years, but never with this squirrel and foliage base. The base measures 7 1/2″ x 3 1/2 and the dog stands 6″ high.
