Working all original old celluloid cover musical photo album that on the outside cover depicts a beautiful young woman in the upper corner and then surrounding her is bright and beautiful flowers. The colors that are mainly used are greens, yellows, blues, and some purple. The photo album still has some old photographs still inside the album. Along with the photos there is some newspaper articles that have been cut out, and placed for safe keeping in this old musical photo album. The album measures 9 1/2″ x 12″, and is 4 1/2″ high. Fancy brass ormolu hardware secures and latches the album. Note that on the very underside of the album there is the crank like mechanism to wind the music box. One of the articles from out of the newspaper talks about Secretary Taft’s parallel between Louisiana Purchase and the Philippines. The second article is more of a social column article that talks about a surprise party held for Mr. Strauss. Some of the names of people attending were, Mr. & Mrs. Albert Johnson, Mr. & Mrs. Heilman, Mr. & Mrs. Warner, Mr. & Mrs. Wm. F. Bloecher, Mr. & Mrs. Cox, Mr. & Mrs. Geo. Straub, Mrs. Stoddard, and Misses Grace Johnson, Erma Heilman, Irene Warner, and Alice Ewing.
