This is a rare and hard to find billows style salt and pepper C.F. Monroe Company Wave Crest shaker set that is secured in a silver plated handled holder marked, ‘Meriden B. Company’. The square shaped salt and pepper each measure 1 3/4″ x 1 3/4″ and stand 2″ high. Note the detailed floral design that decorates each of the shakers. The silver plated holder measures 5″ high and is 5 1/2″ long by 3″ wide. Notice the small scrolling edges on the holder which hold each of the shakers securely on either side of the handle on this footed holder. This salt and pepper set is a featured item in the antique ‘Wave Crest – Cohen’ reference book on page 29. This is a remarkable find, one that we are excited to be able to offer for sale.
