This is a rare piece of Sumida gawa pottery. The vase has five monkey figures two of them are directing a cannon at the target of wall that has three scared monkeys hiding behind their safety. Well designed vase, Measuring 14″ length and 5″ diameter. This vase is featured on the cover of Wall Pockets, Collectors’s Guide Vol. 2 by Marvin Gibson 1997. There is a homemade box that was made to display the vase that was made by the previous owner.
