Victorian Art Glass Cranberry Sweet Meat with Fox and Grapes Holder

Beautiful all original cranberry art glass inverted thumbprint sweet meat jar which is held secure in an equally beautiful marked, ‘Middletown Plate Company – Quadruple Plate – Hard White Metal’ holder. There is also an engraved product number of ‘823’. Note the subject matter of a full figured fox on the very top of the handle and descending grape vine with clusters of grapes, and the matching grapes on the silver plated lid for the sweet meat. The stand measures 11 1/2″ high and at the widest point is 10 1/2″ wide. The base is 6″ diameter. This is a beautiful piece that you will not want to miss adding to your own personal Victorian art glass collections.
